Mataia Homestead is the heart of the Gardner family who have been associated with the area for over 150 years. It contains many family mementos and items of historical value which help make the homestead what it is. We kindly request that guests honour the trust of the Gardner family and respect the homestead and property. To this end, we ask that no parties be held on the premises without prior arrangement.

Homestead & Garden Visits
The homestead and gardens are open to visitors by arrangement. Entry fee is $5 per person. Discounts for larger groups. Devonshire teas and lunches can be made available on request.
Deposits and cancellations
A 25% deposit is required for a reservation; the remaining 75% is due 7 days prior to your arrival
Cancellation within 14 days incurs a 25% forfeit of the total booking price
Cancellation within 3 days incurs a 100% forfeit of the total booking price
Payment may be made by online transfer, cheque or cash
