Located on a working sheep and beef farm and private nature reserve on the Kaipara Harbour, historic Mataia Homestead is surrounded by 5 acres of gardens and steeped in a rich family history.

For seven months of the year Mataia Homestead is part of the 3-day Kaipara2Kaipara Walking Track providing accomodation for walkers. The gardens and house are open by appointment and are also available for day-time functions.
