The Farm Cottage

Garden visits
The homestead gardens are open to visitors by prior arrangement from the middle of October until the end of April. Entry fee is $5pp.
Walks
One day 12km walk $10pp ($8 for groups of 10 +)
A Night Over: $180/adult, $150/child (16 years & under)
2 Days / 2 Nights: $300/adult, $250/child (16 years & under)
Deposits and cancellations
A 50% deposit is required for a reservation; the remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your arrival
Cancellation within 14 days incurs a forfeit of the deposit
Cancellation within 7 days incurs a 100% forfeit of the total booking price
Payment may be made by online bank transfer, cheque or cash. Sorry we do not have eftpos or credit card facilities. Those requiring credit card facilities may book through our AirBnB listing or HomeAway listing (please note extra service charges apply through using these sites)
Of note:
Strictly no pets
Please no smoking inside the buildings
Check in after 2:00pm unless by alternative arrangement
Check out by 11:00am unless by alternative arrangement
Single-night stays are welcome however please note that a cleaning charge will apply: $60 for Farm Cottage & $90 for the Homestead. Cleaning charges do not apply for stays longer than one night.
Mataia Homestead is the heart of the Gardner family who have been associated with the area for over 150 years. Both the homestead and the Farm Cottage contain many family mementos and items of historical value. We kindly request that guests honour the trust of the Gardner family and respect the homestead and property. To this end, we ask that no parties be held on the premises without prior arrangement.
